My stay at The Hulo Hotel & Gallery had its ups and downs. The unique art pieces throughout the hotel added a charm that I really appreciated, but I faced several inconveniences like a leaking sink and disorganized breakfast service. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there were definitely areas that could use improvement. 😊

Rooms
7.5
The room was on the smaller side, and I found the lack of a safety deposit box in the room quite concerning. However, the artistic design and comfortable bed made it somewhat enjoyable.
Service
6.5
Service was a mixed bag; while some staff were honest, I didn't always feel welcomed. My breakfast delivery was even two hours early, which was quite frustrating.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic, with convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance. It was also just a short stroll to Bukit Bintang, which was very convenient.
Dining

I was quite disappointed with the breakfast offerings. It lacked variety, and the food was not very appetizing. I encountered issues with utensils being unavailable as well.

Housekeeping did not meet my expectations as my room was not cleaned during my stay. This was quite disappointing and detracted from the overall experience.

7.2/10

My stay at The Hulo Hotel & Gallery was a mixed bag. The artistic ambiance was charming, but several aspects fell short of expectations. The location was fairly convenient, though it was a trek to key areas. Satisfactory for a short visit, yet I expected more comfort and better service overall.

Rooms
5.0
While the room was clean and featured creative interiors, it did feel quite cramped. The noise from neighboring rooms was quite distracting, making it tough to relax.
Service
5.0
The service seemed inexperienced. Having to notify the receptionist each time I returned to my room was quite inconvenient. Additionally, I was charged a tax that I had already paid during check-in.
Location
6.5
The location was decent. a 10-15 minute walk to Bukit Bintang and surrounded by numerous dining options. However, it was a bit far from the train stations, complicating transport.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the hotel was underwhelming with a basic menu and limited hours. Breakfast options were not impressive, leading to dissatisfaction by the morning.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities felt rudimentary. While the art displays were nice, they didn’t compensate for the mediocre amenities. The rooms lacked proper soundproofing and some essentials.

5.2/10

My stay at The Hulo Hotel & Gallery was a mixed bag. The concept of blending a hotel with an art gallery is intriguing, and the location was strategic, close to shopping and dining options. However, the room cleanliness was far below expectations, and I faced multiple issues with the service that left me unimpressed.

Rooms
5.4
I booked a Superior King Room, but honestly found it quite small for my liking. The lack of basic amenities like bathmats and soap running out during my stay was disappointing. I had to request a room change, but I was told I needed to pay an extra fee for this, which felt unreasonable given the circumstances.
Service
5.0
Service was lacking, to say the least. I encountered staff who seemed unprofessional and not very communicative. After pointing out issues with my room's cleanliness, it took considerable effort to get a response, and even then, the follow-up was lackluster.
Location
7.2
On the positive side, the hotel is quite well-located just a short walk from various restaurants and markets. It felt strategic enough for my needs, although public transport was not as close as I would have preferred.
Dining
5.0
I didn't find the dining options at the hotel to be satisfying. The menu needs improvement, as my meals were quite unremarkable. I ended up exploring local eateries for better options.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities left much to be desired, especially regarding cleanliness. The air conditioning in the room could have been better, which made my stay less comfortable overall.

I had a mixed experience at The Hulo Hotel & Gallery. On one hand, the location is quite strategic as it's near dining options, and the staff was friendly during the day. On the other hand, my room had some issues like a leak under the sink and the mattress quality was disappointing. Overall, it’s a nice place for a short stay, but it could use some improvements.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and basic, which made it comfortable for rest, but there were maintenance issues, such as a leak in the bathroom and thin walls that made it noisy. Also, the mattress quality was not great, as it felt like I was sinking into it.
Service
6.5
The daytime staff were friendly and accommodating, but my experience with the night staff was inconsistent. I encountered some rude behavior when I had issues with the internet connection, which left a negative impression.
Location
7.5
The hotel is well-located in Bukit Bintang, making it easy to access dining options, though it’s quite far from the city center and public transportation.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent, though it was often cold when delivered. I appreciated the options available but would have preferred it fresh.
Facilities
5.5
While the hotel design was modern and appealing, the maintenance and housekeeping could be improved. I found empty water bottles and dirty cups left in my room, which detracted from my experience.

The Standard Twin room I stayed in was somewhat clean. yet I found hair under the pillow, which was disheartening. The space was tight, and I had issues with the water draining in the bathroom.
